This diverse wine region in the southern Cape stretches along Route 62 from Montagu in the west to the Outeniqua mountains in the east.

The Klein Karoo is situated between spectacular mountain ranges, and its vines are grown on these high slopes and in the fertile alluvial soil along the riverbanks.

Various microclimates enable Klein Karoo winemakers to produce a wide variety of quality wines, including crispy whites, appealing red blends, potstill brandies and the ever-popular muscadel and port-style wines.
