The Swartland is an ever-changing kaleidoscope of colour, stretching from the Paardeberg in the south to the Berg River in the north, including the Riebeek Valley, Piketberg and Porterville areas.

A total of 18 cellars, ranging from co-operatives to private wineries, are members of the route.

Exciting award-winning wines have emerged over recent years and the area continues to produce top port-style wines, along with Pinotage, Shiraz, Chardonnay and Chenin Blanc.

A fine selection of accommodation and eating establishments grace the Swartland and, apart from the wine cellars, many other sites and attractions await discovery.
